I wouldn't say there is a huge difficulty spike. If you are planning to use the forum's chapter 1, the sectors might be a bit difficult (Not 100% about the balance yet, but close I think) however the Eldritch Horror stuff is like 98% contained in the new sectors added.

PROFILE FILE LOCATION Profile File Location. The profile data for FTL is cross platform so you're welcome to migrate it to any machine. The locations for profiles are listed below for each operating system, just copy "ae_prof.sav" and "prof.sav" over to keep your unlocked ships / achievements.
