JIB SERIES – SNOWBOARD ADDICTION Jib Series This Jib Series is designed as a progression plan for snowboarders of any skill level. We cover basic beginner tricks you can learn on your Balance Bar and Jib or Tramp Board all the way up to some high level snowboard tricks! Follow along and get those jib tricks dialled for the season! Episode 1: Jib Int HOW TO BLUNTSLIDE ON A TRAINING BOARD Although the Bluntslide may have originated in skateboarding, snowboarders have taken it and made it their own. Today, it is one of the tougher jib tricks but by far one of the most stylish. We break it down in this tutorial and show you how to dial it in on the Jib Board so you can take it to the hill. When you're first starting out with snowboarding, every little piece of the puzzle can seem challenging! In this tutorial we're going to simplify standing up after strapping into your bindings. After you have mastered this, we have another tutorial showing you how to Strap In while standing up. For now, there is nothing wrong with sitting down to do up your bindings. Think of it as a nice HOW TO RIDE ONE FOOTED One footed riding, or more commonly known to snowboarders as "skating", is a technique essential to becoming a well rounded snowboarder. This is often one of the first things instructors teach, because you need the skills of skating one footed to ride a lift or try and navigate flat terrain. YOUR FIRST 50-50 ON A SNOWBOARD McMorris. Horgmo. Kotsenburg. Helgason. Sandbech. All top level park riders' who had to start their jib life somewhere. When it comes to jibbing, this is the first jib trick you need to learn, a 50-50! This is the most basic box & rail trick there is and is the first part in our new Jibbing S eries.. It's shorter in length than a real snowboard, so you can train practically anywhere.. Smooth Sidewall Construction. Along the entire perimeter of the Jib Board is a silky smooth, rounded sidewall. There's no metal edges, so you can train almost anywhere without damaging you, your board or your training area. 5 TIPS TO START HITTING THE TERRAIN PARK Riding the terrain park is arguably the most intimidating aspect of snowboarding and that intimidation is one the biggest reasons why most snowboarders won't get into it. Once you're in there though, it is the best! Progressing your skills and working on tricks is super HOW TO RIDE SWITCH ON A SNOWBOARD Turn all the way around and begin to travel up hill. As your board comes to a stop, roll to your heel edge, continue down hill in a switch heel side turn. You end up doing a big and curved "UU" shape across the run. HOW TO DE-TUNE YOUR SNOWBOARD Rub your fingernails along the edges to see how sharp the edges are. If the edges are feeling grabby, use the Gummy Stones to fine tune the edges. Start with the Rough stone first. Then use the Soft stone to fine-tune the edges. Fine tune the edges by using the gummy stone HOW TO WARM UP FOR SNOWBOARDING Legs are the most important part of the body to warm up. Grab your board and stick the tail into the ground, so that the board is standing up straight. Grab the tip of your board with both hands for balance. Swing your right leg back and forth 5 times.
