STUDENT TESTIMONIAL
Al Tichy
Liberal Arts in Natural Sciences, with an emphasis in Social Science A non-traditional student who returned to College of the Siskiyous in 2017, after a 13 year career as a firefighter and first responder. Al officially graduated from Siskiyous in 2020. He continues to take classes at Siskiyous because, in his own words, "I just can't get enough of COS!" Now, in addition to the three classes he's taking, Al is also enrolled in the Degree Completion program at Simpson University, pursuing a Bachelor's degree in K-12 multi-subject teaching, with an eye toward earning his teaching credential after he graduates from Simpson in Fall of 2021. Al has his sights set on becoming an elementary school teacher and plans to instill his teaching with his personal philosophy of treating others the way you would like them to treat you. His future students will be very fortunate to have him as a teacher.BOARDS AND COUNCILS
