The Sculpture Center is seeking applicants for the 14 th year of its 2022 Revealed (formerly Window to Sculpture or W2S) Emerging Artist Series with an open Call to Artists from the Ohio region. JESSE OWENS, OLYMPIC CHAMPION · OHIO OUTDOOR SCULPTURE A full figure portrait of 4-time Olympic gold medalist Jesse Owens captured in the moment that he crossed the finish line at the 1936 Berlin Games. The Ohio state alumnus sculpture bears the name of "OHIO" on the front of his jersey. He celebrates with his hands in the air in front of him. His eyes are closed, taking in the monumental victory. His lead foot is set on the tip of FOUNTAIN OF ETERNAL LIFE · OHIO OUTDOOR SCULPTURE A symbol of the constant effort for peace, the Fountain of Eternal Life, sometimes referred to as "Peace Arising from the Flames of War" or simply "The War Memorial Fountain" stands a towering 46 feet in the air. It represents a stylized man escaping a pillar of twisting flames that bursts from the Earth below him, stretching up towards the sky. The Earth is banded with ST. ANTHONY · OHIO OUTDOOR SCULPTURE Standing figure in walking position. His robe is flowing back and his proper left foot is forward, the toes showing from under the robe. He has a book in his bent proper left arm. His proper right arm, holding a piece of bread, is down at his side. He is looking forward and

slightly down.

OUR LADY OF FATIMA · OHIO OUTDOOR SCULPTURE A nine and a half foot tall colored fiberglass statue of the Blessed Virgin Mary that is part of a shrine dedicated to apparitions of the Virgin Mary that occurred in Fatima, Portugal in 1917. The statue was erected in 1964 by George B. Quatman as part of his Sandy Beach Amusement Park in Russells Point, Ohio. Our Lady of Fatima overlooks Indian Lake from what is called "St. Marys OHIO OUTDOOR SCULPTURE Ohio Outdoor Sculpture (OOS) represents a survey of all the outdoor public sculpture in Ohio. This nationally-unique statewide collection is now being expanded with SOLDIERS AND SAILORS MEMORIAL CHAPEL FIGURES · OHIO Life-size carved stone figures that stand above the west and east doorways of the Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Chapel in Marion Cemetery. The figure on the west side has a large mustache and is wearing a uniform with cap and cape, holding a rifle in his left hand with the butt resting on the ground and has his right hand on his hip. This is a beautiful campground with a 7-acre lake for water activities. One special thing about the 157-acre resort is the various chainsaw sculptures by Dan Kidd all around.
