The Rory Peck Trust was set up in memory of Rory in 1995 by Juliet and a group of close friends to provide support for the families of freelance camera operators. Assistance Grants. Since 1995, the Rory Peck Trust has been providing support to freelance journalists and their families around the world. This includes freelancers who have been seriously injured, threatened, imprisoned, detained, forced into exile or killed as a result of their

work.

NAVIGATING THE INTERNET Using a VPN (Virtual Private Network) This is a tool that allows you to be more secure when browsing the internet – very useful if you are using public wifi in cafes or airports. The VPN hides your IP address, making it appear as if you are navigating the internet from a different country. It can help you access content that might be

TRAINING FUND

The Rory Peck Training Fund enables freelance journalists to gain the essential skills and knowledge needed to work in difficult and potentially dangerous situations. Launched in 2000, the Training Fund has given hundreds of bursaries to freelance journalists, photographers, camera operators and filmmakers to allow them to take
