CO-SIGN OUR LETTER TO #SAVETHEBEES As you might have noticed from our logo, the Co-op Party are quite fond of bees. But bees aren't just a symbol of the co-operative movement. They are essential to our ecosystem and food chain, and that's why Co-op Party MP and Shadow Environment Secretary Luke Pollard has written this letter to the Prime Minister, calling on the Government to reverse their move to lift the ban on bee-killing CO-SIGN OUR LETTER TO #BACKTHEBIDENTAX Co-sign our letter to #BackTheBidenTax. For too long, tax havens and legal loopholes have enabled large companies to shift profits around the world and get away with paying less than their fair share of taxes. President Biden has proposed sweeping reforms which would force big companies like Amazon, Apple, Facebook and Google to be honestabout

EVERY DAY, MORE THAN 400 RETAIL WORKERS ARE ATTACKED – JUST FORDOING THEIR JOBS.
The current Coronavirus crisis has demonstrated that shopworkers provide an essential public service, feeding the nation during a crisis. But that's not the only way they serve our country. From alcohol and cigarettes to knives and acid, there are now more than 50 types of products that are restricted by law. It's staff on the shop floor who we expect to enforce those laws, and who all too often pay the price in the form of violence, threats and verbal and physical abuse from customers. WE ASK SHOPWORKERS TO UPHOLD THE LAW – BUT THE LAW DOESN'T DO ENOUGH TO PROTECT THEM. That's why we're supporting a bill in Parliament to secure stronger protections for shopworkers and tougher penalties against those who assault or threaten them. CLICK HERE TO ADD YOUR NAME IN SUPPORT OF THE BILL NOW AND SPREAD THE WORD ON SOCIAL MEDIA. CAMPAIGN WITH US FOR FOOD JUSTICE Millions of people in the UK are struggling to feed themselves and their families. We're working across the UK to bring attention to the food poverty crisis and deliver food justice. __ Join the campaignLATEST

View all recent blog posts WE BELIEVE IN A SOCIETY AND ECONOMY DRIVEN BY VALUES, NOT PROFITS. Our vision is of a society and economy in which people's voices are heard; institutions and services are accountable to their users and staff, and ownership and wealth are shared. We believe that co-operatives values are key to making that ambition a reality. We’re working in partnership with Labour to spark a radical shift in the size of the co-operative sector, and to bring key sectors like transport and utilities into democratic public ownership. Co-operative elected representatives in Westminster, Holyrood, Cardiff Bay and in local government across the UK are working to put these ideas into practice – and our reach, membership and impact aregrowing.
