Whilst earlier in 2020, there was talk of life post-pandemic, there is now growing consensus that COVID-19 is here to stay for the foreseeable future, and we must collectively re-imagine a future with COVID-19. After documenting and disseminating the real stories behind the pandemic within West Africa through our Essential

In Benin, OSIWA has supported civil society coalitions working on issues of constitutional reform, corruption, political empowerment and participation of women and youth, and training and capacity building for newly elected local government officials. These efforts have strengthened some of the coalitions’ core members.

SOWA 2021 – OSIWA

Sierra Leone. OSIWA’s first report of 2021 on the state of West Africa covers recent developments and trends in the region, with specific emphasis on developments in democracy, political governance, the COVID 19 pandemic and prospects for the region in 2021. BENIN. In Benin, OSIWA has supported civil society coalitions working on issues of constitutional reform, corruption, political empowerment and participation of women and youth, and training and capacity building for newly elected local government officials. These efforts have strengthened some of the coalitions’ core members.
