REGISTER OF DEEDS
The Register of Deeds office records real estate related documents such as deeds, mortgages, and plats for public record, indexed by the property owner's name. Please phone for recording fees and document requirements. Certified Copies can be obtained in person, for aminimum fee.

The code provides for the regulation and safe use of existing structures in the interest of the social and economic welfare of the community. The County does NOT enforce private covenants and restrictions. The County does NOT provide code enforcement within the municipal boundaries of Salem, Walhalla, West Union, Westminster, orSeneca.
MARRIAGE LICENSE
Parties must be over the age of sixteen (16) to apply for a marriage license and must have parental or guardian consent. If you are over the age of eighteen (18) you must bring one form of identification that clearly shows the name and date of birth. State Drivers License or ID, military ID, AND passports are the best forms of identificationused.

All Recycling Centers are closed on Wednesday and Sunday, but open 7:00AM until 7:00PM Monday thru Saturday. Mattresses are only accepted at Strawberry Farm Recycling Center.
