NHTI has made it accessible for me to receive an education while being a full-time mom of two children. My professors are supportive, accommodating, and consistent with providing me with a greateducation.
Fanny StaceyRadiologic Technology, Class of 2022 "After years in customer service, I wasn’t feeling challenged or fulfilled. I researched several schools in my area but felt like they were more interested in money than in getting to know me and helping me understand what I could get out of my education. Then I found NHTI! The admissions team asked questions about who I was and what I wanted for my future. They acknowledged that my work experience was an advantage and not time wasted like I’d believed for so many years. NHTI showed me college is for everyone, and there is a path forward for anyone interested in pursuing an education." Julia DepuyCurrent NHTI student I started at NHTI when I was 15. I was homeschooled and came to NHTI to explore electrical engineering. I chose NHTI because it was close to home, was much less expensive than any other school, and I could work on EET courses while finishing my homeschooling. What really made NHTI a great fit for me was that I could pursue my degree and work in my field. I spent the last year of my time at NHTI taking classes and working as an engineering technician in Manchester. When I graduated NHTI, I was 19 with a full-time job waiting for me and $0 college debt. Now, I’m pursuing my BS+MSEE at RIT in Rochester,N.Y.
Andrew AllardClass of 2017 There was really no doubt in my mind that I would go to NHTI: My older brother had a fantastic experience with both academics and athletics there, it was close to home, and the price was right! I had the great privilege of being a peer tutor, assisting other students in various math and science subjects. I cannot overstate the impact that role had on my own learning and growth. Many days you could find me and my friends hunkered down in a study room discussing physics or scribbling differential equations on the white board. I am thankful that I chose NHTI! Ask big questions, do the work, meet new friends, get outside of your comfort zone. You will leave feeling confident and ready for what comes next, just like I did. Rebekah LamarreClass of 2018 I only intended to take one class at NHTI but quickly learned that it offered much more than just affordable credits. What kept me at NHTI was the quality of instruction, the relationships I built, the extracurricular opportunities, and those fun block couches in the library. The small class sizes made for an engaging experience and held me more accountable. The professors went above and beyond, even supporting me in creating a portfolio of work experience to receive class credit. I transferred to UNH academically prepared and able to jump right into upper level classes, and NHTI welcomed me back to continue tutoring in the Math Lab. This allowed me the luxury of studying and working in the field I planned to pursue as a career. Ryleigh LorimerClass of 2016 I am so grateful that NHTI offers mindful communication courses. Incorporating mindfulness into my studies has helped me a great deal in remaining focused and in gaining confidence. The thing I find most amazing about NHTI offering mindful communication is that people who have never had the pleasure of being exposed to mindfulness get that opportunity. Mindful communication is something that I will continue to practice in my personal life as well as my professional career. Sarah HaxhijaAddiction Counseling Major NHTI has made it accessible for me to receive an education while being a full-time mom of two children.
NHTI showed me college is for everyone, and there is a path forward for anyone interested in pursuing an education." Julia DepuyCurrent NHTI student__ Previous
