_Aesthetics vs Function?_ STANDARD SEALED WEIGHTS With our sealed weights there are no chain joiners, this is a new modern look for vertical blinds. The weights are sewn in shut on all four sides in a flat pocket at the bottom of the slat. This is done primarily for aesthetic reasons.

CHAIN JOINERS

With chain joiners you are able to open doors and windows and have the blinds move around less, as these chains that run along the bottom to join each slat will stabilise the slats from wind, and even the movement when opening and shutting your blinds. This is the only benefit to chain joiners.

NC PAINT (OIL BASED)

ADVANTAGES

* Brilliant matte smooth finish * Excellent resistance to wear & tear as the paint forms a protective enamel that is very hardy against scuffs, and abrasions.

DISADVANTAGES

* Higher VOC emissions (Volatile Organic Compounds) when compared to water based paint. These tend to dissipate not long after installation. Some ventilation will be needed. * Paint is less suited to moisture, making it not suitable for wet

areas

* Contains flammable solvents * Shutters are assembled first, then painted. WATER BASED PAINT

ADVANTAGES

* Very low VOC emissions (Volatile Organic Compounds), lower to no odour when first installed * More tolerant of dampness, making it suitable for wet areas

* Non-toxic

* Shutters are painted first then assembled. This ensures a perfect finish in the joins every time. * Much more flexible hence more able to cope with material expansion and contraction in extreme temperatures.

* Non flammable

* Non yellowing, very resistant to dis coloration. * Excellent UV durability, retains colour intensity well over extended periods of time.

DISADVANTAGES

* More easily able to be damaged, scuffed as the paint is thinner when compared to NC Paint (we provide touch up paint any way!) * Not able to produce as brilliant of a smooth finish when compared

to NC Paint

Optional Base Rail Insert The upgraded Ellipse Ultra+ Bottom rail features an optional rubber insert at the back to absorb the intrusive sound they make when they bump the window or frame, this is prone to happen a lot more when opening windows for fresh air or even just when winding them up and down. It will also prevent scuffing or scratching of your architraves during normal usage. This is an amazing solution that others pay a lot to get with aftermarket products, and other suppliers simply do not incorporate. The rubber insert is colour co-ordinated automatically with the colour of your base rail. (Remember it is at the back so you will not see it anyways). Deluxe Flat Rail Option also available in three colours.

Optional Sunboss Fascia Our aluminium fascia comes in four colours and must be ordered together with your roller blind (it cannot be ordered afterwards). It comes with it’s own brackets for the roller blind when ordered together. It is currently only suited for a Face Mounted blind, and it has its own colour co-coordinated side covers. The Fascia is a different product to our custom made Pelmets. Pelmets are a separate timber structure that runs past the architrave on each side and also

features a roof.

They Aluminium Fascia’s come in two sizes 75mm and 100mm for Single Roller Blinds, and also have a FABRIC WRAPPED OPTION ON THE 100MM

SIZE.

For the Double Roller Blinds they only come in a slightly curved profile, and also have a FABRIC WRAPPED OPTION. If you are looking for a fabric wrapped pelmet then stop by our bonded pelmets or custom padded pelmet product pages. Our fascia’s offer a cost effective decorative accessory for your face fitted roller blinds, when compared to more luxury bonded and padded pelmets. WHAT CAN IT BE USED FOR? The Skyline Fascia is used to hide the roller hardware at the top, providing a more finished look. HOW TO ORDER YOUR FASCIA? Don’t worry, you won’t have to make any adjustments to your measurements to accommodate for the Fascia, we’ll handle that for you. Just measure as per our face fit instructions on the measuring page, and then select the fascia option on the product page. The Fascia just clips onto the end brackets, most of the time it will sit

BLOCKOUT

A vertical blind will never achieve full blackout (due to light seepage between slats). However a blockout fabric completely stops all light from passing through the material, as well as some heat. Ideal for complete night time privacy, great for bedrooms to stop prying eyes and where the early rising sun may stop you from getting a full nights rest. Blockout is our most popular fabric type sold.

Blockout completely blocks all light from passing through the material, as well as some heat. Ideal for complete night time privacy, great for bedrooms to stop prying eyes and where the early rising sun may stop you from getting a full nights rest. Blockout is our most popular fabric type sold.

SUNSCREEN

Sunscreen will block the intensity of the light and heat coming through whilst still maintaining a view. Depending on the fabric chosen over 95% of harmful UV rays are blocked protecting your furniture and floors. Sunscreen offers great day time privacy, people are unable to see in from the outside unless there are lights on

inside.

LIGHT FILTERING

Light Filtering offers great day time privacy and blocks the view whilst still allowing most of the light in to brighten the room. How much light is diffused will depend on the fabric and colour chosen, we advise you to order our free samples for testing.
