Throughout the main dwelling, touches of reclaimed wood with a weathered patina sets a rustic-meets-refined tone. This eclectic use of materials provides a backdrop where traditional antiques and contemporary art are equally at home. ILLUMINATED BY A LARGE METAL-FRAMED SKYLIGHT, vestiges of white paint give the kitchen ceiling a soft patina.

Revisiting the Caretaker’s Cottage. BUILT IN THE 1930s BY HENRY FORD at his winter retreat near Savannah, this former caretaker’s cottage had been abandoned for decades. Historical Concepts consulted on the restoration of the primitive, 800 square foot cottage for clients who were compelled to save it from demolition and preserve Ford’s

A PORTE-COCHÈRE connects Serenity’s main house with its carriage house, designed in the form of an equestrian stable. Traditional carriage tracks extend through the latticed structure and over a footbridge to a private island. TWO BUNKIES sit on the island, primitive Lowcountry cottages that welcome guests.

A RURAL SPORTING PRESERVE located between Savannah and Charleston, the centerpiece of this property is a circa 1914 farmhouse that was relocated to the site, uninhabitable when discovered but possessing an innate history that would add an immediate and authentic patina to the

estate.

Columbus, Georgia. OLD TOWN, LOCATED IN COLUMBUS, GEORGIA is an emerging development inspired by traditional towns of the American South. This new community offers a mixture of uses arranged in a walkable pattern, modeled on the historic districts and neighborhoods of nearby Pine Mountain, LaGrange, Locust Grove, and Newnan, Georgia.

A RURAL SPORTING PRESERVE located between Savannah and Charleston, the centerpiece of this property is a circa 1914 farmhouse that was relocated to the site, uninhabitable when discovered but possessing an innate history that would add an immediate and authentic patina to the

Throughout the main dwelling, touches of reclaimed wood with a weathered patina sets a rustic-meets-refined tone.
