GREASEMONKEY MANUAL

Welcome. Welcome to the Greasemonkey Manual.. It is divided into two main parts. The first is for general users of Greasemonkey; it covers such topics as installing user scripts and using the features that Greasemonkey provides. If no value is specified, none will be used by default. If any value or values are specified, only those API methods will be provided. Examples. Before you ask for help, you should make a reasonable effort to help narrow down exactly what the issue you are having is - Help us to help you.Without doing the basic groundwork to get that information, even someone who truly wants to help can only at best guess at what the problem might be.

LOCATION HACK

The location hack is an older technique for crossing the barrier between the user script scope and the content window scope, when it exists. The previous version of this page may be read via history.. In Firefox version 39.0.3 Mozilla patched a known security vulnerability.As a side effect, this broke the location hack.

GM.DELETEVALUE

Description. This method deletes an existing name / value pair from storage. See GM.setValue for details regarding the storage of these values.. Syntax. function GM.deleteValue(name). Compatibility: Greasemonkey 4.0+ Arguments name Property name to delete. TALK:GM.XMLHTTPREQUEST All things went well until I wanted to execute 'GM_xmlhttpRequest'. By debugging I found out the request was called but none of the events ('onload', 'onerror', 'ontimeout') were ever executed. WARNING!  For the first time, automatic updates will destroy local edits made since install time.  After that point, we track both install time and edit time and will not overwrite edits-since-install with new automatic updates.  Unfortunately we weren't tracking this information until the feature was added.
