SCHOLARSHIPS
Graduate Women Victoria offers an annual program of scholarships and bursaries for women students enrolled in universities in Victoria. Our organisation has been awarding scholarships to Victorian women since 1931; see here for lists of previous scholarship winners, and here for a report from a winner. Scholarship applications open each year in ABOUT US - GRADUATE WOMEN VICTORIA ABOUT US. Graduate Women Victoria members enjoy a picnic. Our association was founded in 1920 as an association of women graduates who were inspired by the foundation of the International Federation of University Women earlier in the same year. AFUW Victoria joined associations of women graduates in other states to form the Australian ADVOCACY - GRADUATE WOMEN VICTORIA Graduate Women Victoria works to promote the protection and extension of women’s rights in the public arena, especially women’s rights to access education and its benefits. Within Victoria we regularly approach the State Government on matters relating to women’s rights. A central concern has been the need for properly funded and regulated REPORTS FROM AWARD WINNERS We are delighted to publish here reports from our award winners on their activities. Here is a research report from Ruth Jackson, winner of the Ethel McLennan Bursary in 2007.. Minh Le writes about her research trip to Vietnam, and Penny Scott presents the results of her research into Australian employment law, specifically on junior wages and residential tenancy.
