ZAMBIA: THE GOVERNMENT BANS THE EXPORT OF MAIZE Export ban. On 4 September 2020, Zambia temporarily banned the exports of maize and maize meal until the country secures 1 million tonnes of grain. Concerning the export ban, the Agricultural Minister Michale Katambo said: “We have temporarily banned all exports until we are food secure”.
