WHAT THE PLAYERS ARE SAYING My name is Saurabh Tomar, I am a Digital Marketer and an Entrepreneur from India who loves playing games in my spare time. I played Dota 2 for the first time around 2017 and even though I knew about the game since a long time and all my friends used to play it, I used to stay away given my college and my agency start up which used to take up my entire day but once college was over I had at least some spare time when I was done from work so I started playing Dota 2 actively after work hours and to get better I started watching some youtube videos and after a while saw TI and other Major tournament and wanted to learn more so came across Gamer Sensei. I signed up and tried to get coaching from a couple of people there, honestly talking to these different coaches was very interesting. I got in touch with some of the best players who have ever played this game, got to talk to them about the scene in different countries, their personal experiences and Just very good people to know from around the world and of course each one taught me something new and interesting about the game. Amongst all of them of course, TheVeryFamousAr3a has been my go-to after a while as he taught me a lot. Apart from the game I generally like him a lot as a person and it is always very nice to just talk to him, very friendly, always. The coaching experience had been a great pleasure and I recommended Gamer Sensei to a lot of my friends who tried it and use it whenever they want. Ar3a helped me a lot to understand the game better. I felt like I used to play a totally random different game before he coached me and now I understand things better even when I am just watching Pro Teams play.

I was always interested more or less in gaming, this started as a kid with the first computers ever, C64/128 and Amiga 500 and transitioned to Playstation and also PC gaming. In the beginning I mainly played Counter Strike. The first MMORPG I ever played was World of Warcraft (started with vanilla) and occasionally Warcraft 3 but never on a level where I truly understood the game. I have now been getting DOTA 2 coaching with Gamer Sensei for 1 ½ years and I think I was lucky- like finding a needle in a haystack with my coach, Hady (TheVeryFamousar3a). His knowledge about the game surprises me even 1 ½ years into the coaching experience

with him.

It was a long journey and I managed to improve through his help a lot. I doubled up my MMR, started as a crusader and peak was ancient 4, which is quite impressive. I can highly recommend coaching to everyone wanting to get better in a specific skillset. I would recommend coaching with Hady to everyone, but jokes aside, if there are more coaches of this caliber I highly recommend coaching with Gamer Sensei.

My name is Jordan "Dewy413" Deuley, I am from Arkansas and I am a collegiate Rocket League player for Lyon College. I became interested in Esports once I found out that my high school was getting an Esports team. I really started to take the game seriously around this time, and landed myself a full ride scholarship to Lyon College. I am currently aspiring to be a professional Rocket League Player. I have been using Gamer Sensei for about a year now and I always find myself learning something new every lesson. The coaching experience has been immaculate. I went from Champion 3 to 1800 in the course of a year which is actually super nuts considering how hard it becomes to improve in a game like Rocket League at this point. I really recommend Gamer Sensei to anyone who is seriously looking to improve at their game. As someone who is competing pretty clos e to the highest level I possibly can, I still find ways to improve from coaching on the

My name is Kate Swearingen and I have been gaming since I was a kid and played as a way to do something with my older brother. In college, gaming was a way to meet new people and hang out with friends. Now, my husband and I enjoy gaming together and watching professional matches. I play games such as Ragnarok, Blizzard's Hero Brawler, Heroes of the Storm, and League of Legends, among others. Watching professional games inspired me to bring eSports to the high school where I teach chemistry. Gaming provides students with opportunities - to build relationships, to earn scholarships to college, to polish skills, to learn new things, and to have a place to belong. I not only wanted these things for my students, but I knew that participation in activities like eSports encourages students to engage at school, helping them academically. A student asked me if I would coach a League of Legends team, and the rest is history. The Board of Education voted to approve eSports as a class and a program, and a local university allowed us to use their practice facility. My husband and I play League as ADC and Support, respectively, to give me more experience in game play and help me become a better coach. I connected with a professional coach in Turkey named Nalu who helped us increase our fundamental understanding, changing the way we viewed the game. He pushed us to test our limits and taught us to play better as a team - recognizing opportunities and taking advantage of them. We rose through the ranks to Silver and my win rate went from below 40% to above 50%. I am a better coach to players on my high school eSports team due to Nalu's influence. I highly recommend gamersensei to my high school players and have it on my discord and school page so that students can get one-on-one lessons. Gamersensei helped me bring eSports to schools across the state of Oklahoma, increasing awareness and acceptance of eSports as mainstream in our educational

institutions.

Kate and Richard Swearingen I'm a pediatric critical care physician in North Carolina. I spend most of my time taking care of children in our ICU (including some COVID patients, especially now that the children's hospital has begun to admit adults from overcrowded hospitals), but also spend time teaching medical students, resident physicians as well as contributing to ongoing quality improvement and patient safety research. I've always loved gaming, but due to the demands of med school and post med school training, I stopped playing much of anything for around 10 years. One of my friends mentioned last year that he was playing Overwatch and wanted a partner, so we decided to give it a try. We really didn't have a clue what we were doing when it came to competitive play, though the basics of the game were pretty obvious/ After watching some coaching videos I decided that having someone much better review my game play and give me some pointers was worth the time and money. Gamer Sensei listed Spearmaker as an option and I picked him without really knowing what to expect. It was absolutely worth it. We've done a handful of sessions together that involved VOD reviews and practice drills. He also got me plugged into a gaming community on discord that frequently hosts friendly pick up games. Spearmaker has been very patient and focused on improving, but also on having fun and avoiding frustration/tilt. His in depth understanding of gameplay and strategy allows him to see things that I miss, offering a fuller understanding of how to progress. While I haven't had the consistent time lately to play competitive (pandemic), my friend and I definitely progressed up several ranks as a direct result of pointers and insight gained through coaching. We won't ever reach masters, or probably even diamond, but that's fine and was never the goal (though I suspect with enough time Spearmaker could get me

there).

Overall, my experience with Gamer Sensei was very positive, and I would definitely recommend it to others who might be looking to improve their game play. The interface is very easy to navigate/schedule and the price is reasonable. I haven't tried other coaches but would certainly be open to it. Again, having an objective coach really catches things you miss yourself, no matter what your gameplay level is. Even a single session can be quite valuable though I have appreciated the longitudinal relationship with a coach.
