We took a chance on a virtual conference and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our strange year. Straddling the end of a tumultuous season while on the precipice of a new one - filled with hope - we came together in one virtual world and remembered what it means to be a community. 2021 Conference. We took a chance on a virtual conference and it turned out to be one of the most memorable experiences of our strange year. Straddling the end of a tumultuous season while on the precipice of a new one - filled with hope - we came together in one virtual world and remembered what it means to be a community. BEGINNER FARMER TRAINING PROGRAM The BFTP is in part funded through a National Institue of Food and Agriculture Beginning Farmer and Rancher Development Program grant. The "Ensuring New Farmers’ Long-Term Commercial Success: A Comprehensive Beginner Farmer Training Program for Maryland" is a collaborative grant project shared by Future Harvest, University of Maryland Extension, University of Maryland Eastern

LEVEL 3 CONSULTANTS

Get matched with an experienced farmer consultant whose strengths best match your needs Since Level 3 is designed for trainees who already have several years of farming experience and are managing farms themselves, we approach the Farmer Consultant matching process as a collaborative one. Through the interview process with Level 3 applicants, we discuss what their main FIND-A-FARMER OR MARKET MAP Find-A-Farmer or Market Map. This map was created by a user. Due to a surge in demand for local food that can be delivered or picked up from the farm, as well as grocers turning to local food suppliers as they struggle to stay well-stocked, Future Harvest is working with MDFMA , MWCOG and Delmarva Grown to provide LEVEL 2 TRAINING FARMS Below is our current list of training farms that provide on-farm learning opportunities for Level 2 trainees. If you do not see a farm located near you, we still encourage you to apply, as we may be able to bring on a nearby farm to work with you. If you are interested in becoming a training farm, please review our BFTP Trainer Requirements. To receive an application or more WOOD DUCK LANDING FARM SEEKS SEASONAL FARM WORKERS Wood Duck Landing Farm is located in Princess Anne, MD. We are seeking seasonal workers to help with planting, maintaining, and harvesting crops on our produce farm. We are also seeking sales associates to help run our stand at the Princess Anne, Salisbury, and Ocean City Farmers Markets. Pay is $13 an hour plus bonuses for reaching

production goals.

EQUIPMENT & SUPPLY SPECIALIST Hidden Creek Farm is looking to fill a full-time position for an equipment and operations specialist. Duties will include maintenance and operation of all farm equipment, scheduling, delivery and pick-up of product and supplies, operation of farm equipment, maintenance of pastures and fences and drives, hauling of livestock, and other duties

as assigned.
