HEALING AND REBUILDING In March of 2017, we launched the Imagine Greater Louisville 2020 Cultural Plan , with the vision to ensure arts access, education, diversity, equity, and inclusion, and cultivate and promote Greater Louisville as a nationally recognized city of the arts. The irony is that none of us could have imagined the challenges that we would face in 2020. But in the face of a global pandemic and the rise of a long-overdue racial justice movement, Greater Louisville artists and arts organizations have been incrediblyresilient.
Through all of this, THE ARTS HAVE BEEN A POWERFUL SOURCE FOR HEALING AND REBUILDING. AS OUR COMMUNITY CONTINUES TO FACE THE CHALLENGES THAT THIS YEAR HAS BROUGHT, WE NEED YOUR HELP. This year, our artists and organizations have persevered through closures and cancellations, through devastating budget cuts and extensive furloughs. Louisville artists have found new and creative ways to continue serving our community. Through parking lot performances, porch concerts, and delivering arts supplies to the homes of students, our artists have been at the front lines of helping this community to heal and rebuild. Fund for the Arts has worked hard to serve as a leader and convener as our community heals and rebuilds. We have provided new funding opportunities and support for our artists and arts organizations to increase the impact of the arts and to help our community moveforward.
WE NEED YOUR HELP TO ENSURE THAT LOUISVILLE’S ARTISTS AND ARTS ORGANIZATIONS CAN CONTINUE SERVING OUR COMMUNITY FOR MANY YEARS TOCOME.
Your gift now will support the long-term recovery of our treasured institutions and it will support the work that artists are doing to support people in every Louisville neighborhood during thischallenging time.
Donate Today
Healing and Rebuilding are the themes for our work at the Fund for the Arts this year. There is no more important work than this in 2020 and well into 2021. Thank you for helping to make this work possible. As we look ahead, we are optimistic for a brighter future and we believe in the powerful work of our arts community. We are working to maximize the impact of the arts on economic development, education, and the quality of life for everyone by generating resources, inspiring excellence, and creating communityconnections.
