SACHIE NOMURA
Sachie Nomura is New Zealand’s most experienced Asian cuisine chef and owner of cooking school Sachie’s Kitchen - the number one rated and mostawarded cooking school in Australasia. Born in Japan, Sachie migrated to New Zealand and studied a degree in Chinese, before marrying Chinese husband and business partner Nick Siu. Since then, Sachie’s Kitchen was founded in 2010 and with it BUTTERY GARLIC CABBAGE Method. Place a large frying pan over a medium-low heat. Add butter and when it’s foamy, add garlic and cook, stirring, for a few minutes until softened and fragrant.BEST BROCCOLI SOUP
Method. Place olive oil in large heavy-based saucepan. Chop onions and garlic in a food processor. Sauté over slow heat until translucent,but not coloured.
KIMCHI MAC & CHEESE
Method. Start by cooking the macaroni. Follow the instructions on the pack. Then drain and set aside. Heat a high lipped pan or pot over amedium heat.
PERFECT PORK BELLY
Method. Place pork belly in a roasting pan that fits snugly. Mix salt and sugar in a small bowl and rub mix all over meat. Cover pan with cling film and place in the fridge for at least 6 hours, but no longerthan 24.
SUPER PEAR & GINGER LOAF Method. Preheat oven to 180°C. Grease a 24cm loaf tin and line with baking paper, for easy removal afterwards. In a cake mixer beat, eggs with wire whisk attachment. We found that when brewers, brew beer they steep barley grains and utilise the liquid from this but discard the grains.
