We understand this is a pretty big call, and we couldn’t name them all, but after traveling extensively throughout Latin America we think we’ve narrowed down a pretty decent list. ROAD TRIP IN SPAIN: NORTHERN COAST ITINERARY Avila: Classic Castles and Cobblestone Streets. Madrid to Avila – 110km (70mi) – 1 ½ hours of straight highway. Our first stop on our road trip through Spain was through Avila, a small town just a couple hours outside of Madrid. If you’re heading north of Madrid on your road trip, definitely check this place out. PINA COLADA RECIPE: THE FRESHEST (AND CHEAPEST) YOU'LL Smash the bag of ice on the floor to crack it all up. Or crack it up with the back of the machete. Add the pineapple and ice to your new coconut concoction and blend for a few minutes. Depending on your preference, you can strain some of the pulp, or keep it original and chewy. Add rum to taste and blend again for 30 seconds. CONSERVATION AND TOURISM IN YELLOWSTONE NATIONAL PARK Yellowstone National Park is perhaps the most iconic national park in the United States.From childhood memories of watching Yogi Bear tiptoe through ‘Jellystone Park’ looking for pic-a-nic basket, to hearing about the phenomenon that is Old Faithful, Yellowstone is ingrained in American culture and history. Stateline Campground in Utah is a bit out of the way and probably suits more experienced campers (don’t expect a convenience store nearby), but the sites are free of charge and your efforts will be rewarded. LAKE TAHOE ROAD TRIP IN NEVADA Hyatt Residence Club Lake Tahoe, High Sierra Lodge – If you want to class things up a bit, the Hyatt Residence Club at Lake Tahoe is a beautiful lodge with plenty of accommodation and an amazing location right by the lake. 24 HOUR LAYOVER IN HONOLULU HAWAII Flying halfway across the world is never fun. Despite my excitement to return to Australia after 2 years of being away, I wasn’t looking forward the 17+ hours of cramped plane time ahead of me. So when I found a flight that included a 24 hour layover in Honolulu, I grabbed it.Honolulu is one of the busiest airports in the United States, connecting to destinations all over the world. JATILUWIH RICE TERRACES TRAVEL GUIDE FOR 2021 The Jatiluwih Rice Terrace entrance fee is 40,000 rupiah per person. Compared to the Tegalalang rice terrace entrance fee of 10,000, this seems a bit steep, but it’s still only $3 USD. The entrance fee includes parking. Also, you won’t be asked for donations at different areas of the rice field like at Tegalalang. REBUILDING TACLOBAN AFTER TYPHOON HAIYAN Tacloban Two Years After the Typhoon. Initially, from the main road, it was hard to see the trail of damage that typhoon Yolanda had left behind. If you hop aboard a Jeepney downtown, passing the Astrodome and the businesses sprawled along Real Street, it’s hard to see how Tacloban City differs from any other city in the Philippines. 10 AWESOME THINGS TO SEE AT COACHELLA BESIDES THE MUSIC 10) Silent Disco.
