In the data revolution era the hope is for data and analytics to allow policymakers, businesses, civil society organizations, and citizens to make better, more evidence-informed decisions. This requires improving digital inclusion, advocating DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN MEXICO IN TIMES OF COVID-19 Domestic violence in Mexico in times of COVID-19. Just three weeks after the social distance measure was announced in Mexico, domestic violence related calls to the 911 emergency number increased by 60% and the federal authorities estimated that violence against women had gone up between 30% to 100% (Ortiz-b, 2020), an alarming prospect. RAPID ASSESSMENT OF COVID-19 IMPACT AND ROADMAP FOR This report presents the Rapid Assessment of the Socio- economic impact of COVID-19 and the Roadmap for Recovery in Liberia. It has been produced by the United Nations Country Team (UNCT) in Liberia, in collaboration with the Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP), and Development Partners. Through this exercise, the United Nations (UN), Government VIOLENCE AGAINST WOMEN IN LATIN AMERICA: THE MULTIPLE Achieving the goal of ending violence against women and girls (VaWG) is far from concluded. OPAL | DATA-POP ALLIANCE OPAL (for “Open Algorithms”) is a non-profit socio-technological innovation developed by a group of partners around the MIT Media Lab, Imperial College London, Orange, the World Economic Forum and Data-Pop Alliance, aiming to unlock the potential of private sector data for public good purposes by “sending the code to the data” in a safe, participatory, and sustainable manner.

The Importance of Measuring SDGs AGENDA 2030 Adopted by world leaders in September 2015, Agenda 2030 represents an ambitious effort by the global community to ensure that ‘no one is left behind’. At its core are 17 Sustainable Development Goals with 169 Targets ranging from poverty and hunger, equality and climate action, to peace and

justice.

DOMESTIC VIOLENCE IN MEXICO IN TIMES OF COVID-19 Domestic violence in Mexico in times of COVID-19. Just three weeks after the social distance measure was announced in Mexico, domestic violence related calls to the 911 emergency number increased by 60% and the federal authorities estimated that violence against women had gone up between 30% to 100% (Ortiz-b, 2020), an alarming prospect.

"CHANGING THE WORLD WITH DATA" Data-Pop Alliance is a collaborative laboratory of researchers, experts, practitioners, policymakers, and activists created in 2013 out of MIT, Harvard and ODI. We aim to change the world with data through our three pillars of work: _DIAGNOSING_ local realities and human problems with data and AI; _MOBILIZING_ capacities, communities, and ideas towards more data literate societies; and, ultimately, _TRANSFORMING_ the systems and processes that underpin our societies and countries.

In the “data deluge” era, where data is abundant, knowledge continues to be scarce and unevenly distributed across regions of the globe. Leveraging the unique strengths of our founding institutions and network, we work to diagnose local realities using innovative data and technologies to create actionable insights.

M O B I L I Z E

Though trainings, policy and strategy workshops, conferences and events, we seek to enhance “data literacy”, or rather, “literacy in the age of data” at scale to help individuals and institutions become agents of positive social change using data in ways that reflect core ethical principles of equity and empowerment.

T R A N S F O R M

We provide support to governments and international organizations in the process of consolidating their digital transformations. This includes processes to conceive socio-technological innovations, as well as to develop data and digital strategies, contributing to building evidence and methods to tackle societal issues.
