The last time The Wall That Heals was on Marco Island, Keefer decided to visit. He has a number of comrades who are among those honored on the wall. But his memories of one of the soldiers are especially strong. READING THE RED AND GREEN CHANNEL MARKERS By Capt. Carl Kelly. Red and green channel markers line both sides of the safely navigable water in passes and the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). Green marks are always square and odd numbered (1, 3, 5, etc.); red marks are always triangular and even numbered. LOBSTER IMMERSION LOBSTER FOOD TRUCK Looking for a lobster immersion lunch, everybody ordered something with lobster. Mary Aronin ordered a cup of the lobster bisque, three lobster tacos and for $4.00 extra lobster meat. CONDOMINIUMS' RIGHTS TO APPROVE TRANSFERS A condominium association’s right to approve sales or leases is almost mythical. Most people believe associations have an inherent right to approve sales or leases, but that is not the case. Mudd, who was instrumental in the vision and comprehensive planning of the building along with Collier County Emergency Management Director, Dan Summers, who led the tour. The $56 million project began in 1999 and officially opened in 2009. The planning was incredible. IN MEMORY OF LEONARD J. GIUGGIO In Memory of Leonard J. Giuggio. Leonard J. Giuggio, 65, of Marco Island, formerly of Stoneham, Massachusetts, passed away February 16, 2018. Red and green channel markers line both sides of the safely navigable water in passes and the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW). Green marks are always square and odd numbered (1, 3, 5, etc.); red marks are always triangular and even numbered. In passes, when you are returning from the Gulf the red marks will be on your right and BUILDING PERMITS MUST BE CLOSED The new law does more. It authorizes building departments to close some permits that have been issued and outstanding for at least six years. Those permits can be closed without a final inspection, as long as the building department confirms no apparent safety hazards exist.
