President Joe Biden announced Tuesday that COVID-19 vaccine that is going unused by some states will begin being reallocated to states and rural communities where there is greater demand. Escambia County Sheriff Heath Jackson released information Friday concerning the discovery of human remains in an area off Canaan Church Road in Conecuh County. The remains have been positively identified as those of Shari Saunders, who was reported missing in August 2018, Jackson said. The Brewton City Pool, located at Dogwood Hills Park, will open at noon today with a special ceremony heralding the arrival of summer.
