Bismarck Parks and Recreation District (BPRD) invites residents to attend a community meeting June 2 at 6:30 p.m. at the Tom Baker Room, City/County Building, 221 N. 5th St., to hear the results of its April

GENERAL SIBLEY PARK & CAMPGROUND General Sibley Park & Campground. 5001 South Washington St. General Sibley Park is located on South Washington Street four miles south of the Bismarck Expressway. PARK & SHELTER INFORMATION A majority of shelters can be reserved. Amenities at each shelter can vary. Please call 701-222-6455 to verify the following: electricity, picnic tables, grills, volleyball courts, horseshoe pits and nearby restroom facilities. Reservations must be paid at the time of reservation. Outdoor and indoor shelters may be reserved for 2021 and

2022.

PARK BOARD – BISMARCK PARKS & RECREATION Applications will be accepted from Bismarck associations, organizations, clubs or individuals interested in matching funds to sponsor a project in a Bismarck Parks and Recreation District facility or park. Matching funds are awarded twice per year. Applications are available at our office. Call 222-6455 for more information.

SERTOMA PARK

300 Riverside Park Road. There’s still plenty of time left in the summer to enjoy Sertoma Park, one of the park district’s most used – and loved – parks. This park is located along Riverside Park Road and Arbor Avenue. Two good neighbors call the park their home – the Super Slide Amusement Park and the Dakota Zoo. SWIMMING POOLS, OUTDOOR Paul H. Wachter Aquatic Complex. 205 E. Reno Avenue. For daily schedule info or facility rental, call 222-6614 (Watcher) or 222-6455. Also known as the “wave pool”. Gentle, ocean style waves are created periodically throughout the swim session. Located next to Wachter Park with nearby green space, playgrounds and reservable

COTTONWOOD PARK

Cottonwood Park was once a flat piece of farm land along S. 12 th Street in Bismarck. Now this 200 plus acre complex is full of activity and play options. You can walk or ride along the trail there, especially enjoying the new piece of trail that connects with Burleigh Avenue. There’s a lot to look at, including a bocce field, the adult

318 S. Washington St. This 13-acre park is located on S. Washington St., just south of Memorial Highway. There are two picnic shelters, so if you head to this park, pack a lunch or a snack. The park has two playgrounds; one for ages 2-5 and one for ages 5-12. There’s a climbing net and an especially nice, large rock that kids like to

TATLEY-EAGLES PARK

602 Airport Rd. Tatley-Eagles Park is an 18.7 acre facility which has two baseball diamonds with a grass infield and pitching mounds, two batting cages, a parking lot, a playground, restrooms and a warming house for the hockey and pleasure rinks during the winter months.
