DREAMBRAID & ECOEROS: A WORKSHOP WITH SARAH MACLAY Saturday, June 5, 2021 11:00 AM - 2:00 PM PDT Scrambles, mash-ups, layering, and juxtaposition intensify, amplify, and jolt us into the strange, whether writing from the dream realm or the diurnal. The result: unexpected connections, an opening beyond our normal window. After burrowing into some of the ties between poetry and nocturnal states, we’ll generate and share one new piece and look at several ways to write another one later. Bring: at least ten sentences from at least two distinct dreams from different nights.

"BEYOND BAROQUE" IN “MADE IN L.A.” AT THE HUNTINGTON “Beyond Baroque,” an installation by the artist SABRINA TARASOFF, is now open to the public as part of the Hammer Museum and Huntington Library’s biennial “Made in L.A.” art show. Each room in Tarasoff’s improvised haunted house guides the viewer through archival materials and ephemera related to Beyond Baroque and the “Poet Gang” that formed there in the 1980s: Dennis Cooper, Bob Flanagan and Sheree Rose, Amy Gerstler, Jack Skelley, Ed Smith, and

David Trinidad.
