Here’s why, the last 5-6 games of the season are always a bit wacky due to tanking teams and resting players, on top of that Charlotte have been heavily banged up the past few weeks which has led to a drop in both offense and defense, this was beginning to have a large effect on the On/Off numbers PREVIEW: HORNETS HOPE TO MAKE IT THREE IN A ROW, TAKE ON Preview: Hornets hope to make it three in a row, take on fully healthy Bucks squad. LaMelo has made the most out of every opportunity, he’s POTENTIAL FREE AGENCY TARGETS FOR THE CHARLOTTE HORNETS I hate to be a Debbie Downer, but I’ve completely lost hope of seeing another Charlotte Hornets basketball game in the 2019-2020 NBA season. Apparently, the NBA has been “angling” to cancel the remainder of the season and start fresh with the 2020-2021 season in the fall. My gears have fully shifted into offseason mode. At the Hive will have a bundle of draft content for you to parse 2019-20 HORNETS REPORT CARD: DEVONTE’ GRAHAM I’m just going to get right to the point and declare Devonte’ Graham’s 2019-20 season an A+. That shouldn’t be surprising or controversial given the monster leap the Hornets point guard made in his second NBA season. Graham’s rise from obscurity as a second round rookie last season to an impact starter this year who averaged 18.2 points, 7.5 assists, and 3.5 three-pointers per game 2020 CHARLOTTE HORNETS PROSPECT SCOUTING REPORT: PAYTON Few things go together like the Charlotte Hornets and a weak backup point guard position. Throughout Kemba Walker’s time in Charlotte, the Hornets struggled to find a competent backup to run the show when he sat. That problem would’ve been rectified by the ascension of Devonte’ Graham, but he ascended too much and looks to be the team’s starting point guard for the foreseeable future.
