I am 193 cm tall and have an existing conventional bike with oversize frame. I purchased the folding bike to keep in the car. I didn't expect it to adjust to my size and it didn't. AVOID AT ALL COSTS
published 2 months ago Signed up with Lumo online, however changed my mind next day and called them to cancel my sign up within 10 days cooling off period. Spoke to the guy who said that as I am calling after business hours (but they have picked up my call) and I should call them next day or they can arrange the call back. I agreed them to call me back andfinished the call.
Next day was busy and completely forgot about the call as nobody called me back. A few days before Christmas I got an email saying I have a new electricity connection with Lumo. Called them agai... Read moren and they said that I agreed to call them back next day (to my surprise) and this is why the cancellation did not go through. Thankfully, my gas connection still was in progress which I cancelled immediately. Sounds like their support people have very bad English. I told them that the connection should have been cancelled on the day I called them (as they picked up the call and acknowledged that I would like to cancel my new account) regardless whether they or myself called back. Thankfully, no extra costs were involved apart from the time spent to call my current company and transfer the billing back to them. Avoid at all costs. Very dodgy with bad English skills.Transparency

I have been a perfect payer and customer for them - I pay my bill literally the second I get it and I have never given them any grief. Then I moved and they failed to disconnect my electricity and gas at my old rental on the date I asked, proceeded to call me a liar, eventually told me they would credit my bill back to when I asked them to disconnect it only to go back on their word and tell me I have to provide evidence I vacated on a certain date for them to backdate it. DECEPTIVE PRACTICES AND PUSHY SALES TEAM. published 4 months ago Shopping around for energy and gas plans, we called Lumo as they had the best pricing on offer at the time. We signed up, and shortly after, received a call from our old supplier’s retention team, who sent through a new offer. The new offer from the old supplier worked out better, so we called Lumo back to cancel the activation of the new service. For a company that prides itself on being Australian, the call centre was most certainly foreign. The sales staff member we spoke to asked for the pricing our previous supplier to compare the offer,... Read more and was adamant that Lumo pricing was better. He rattled off the current rates he can offer, and they were significantly cheaper than listed on the website, and cheaper than the offer our old supplier provided. When I pulled up the website, to read him the rates displayed on the Lumo website, only then did he announce the pricing he was offering over the phone was exclusive of GST. The rates provided by our old supplier were inclusive of GST, so of course the old supplier was slightly dearer when comparing to non-GST pricing. I did the math while on the phone, and determined that the old supplier’s deal was still going to be better, and insisted on canceling. The Lumo rep insisted his deal was better. We finally got him to agree to cancel our service after the whole “just give us a try” spiel, and was apprehensive about providing any sort of cancellation reference email or number. My title of this review sums them up perfectly. Deceptive and pushy. Have all your current rates on hand, inclusive of GST, and if signing up with Lumo and the prices sound too good, get them to confirm that they include GST too. Make a like for like comparison, and don’t take what they say at facevalue.

IM CHANGING SUPPLIERS published 4 months ago I made the mistake of changing over to email bills. For some reason they stopped sending them on the 9th of Jan. Although I still receive all there promotional junk mail. About $250 in "Early Bird" fees over the last 2 bills. I contacted Lumo last time this happened and informed them that im not receiving there bills via email, yet nothing has changed. I have changed back to post bills while I look foranother supplier.
Edit: Lumo called today and waived the late fee which was nicesurprise.

***ABSOLUTE RUBBISH IN EVERY ASPECT*** published 5 months ago So this mob advertise as Australian owned, as having market leading service, as being a local etc. etc. Nothing could be further from the truth in reality. This mob are without doubt the worst energy company I have ever dealt with. Sent me an $800 bill when a comparison with other carriers showed $400 for the same usage. Would not respond to my questions as to how the bill was calculated. Went to the Ombudsman and only then did they respond. Their call center is offshore with people who both can't speak English nor understand it! If I could give these fools a minus I would!!!Transparency

Called about $50 refer a friend offer but they insisted I did not entered in my friends account number, which I gave to them on two separate occasions. Them denied my claim on the basis of not having an account number in their system. Wasted 50 mins of my life on this crappy customer service from India. Avoidthem at all cost.

published 5 months ago I'm reading a lot of negative reviews on Lumo and just wanted to add my thoughts onto this page. I have been with Lumo for a number of years now and really can't complain. As we are with them for both Gas and Electricity, the discounts are reasonably good and they apply the discounts to the total bill, not just usage charges like some companies. Prices are the best I could find and I review my suppliers every two years. I haven't had to contact them too often for support so can't comment too much on customer service other than I've not had...

I am a bit disappointed though that I can't link my gas and electricity accounts and use my solar rebates to pay off the gas but that's a minor issue. I did find it ridiculous though that I had to set another email account as you cannot use the same email address for the gas and electricity accounts despite the fact it's the same company! but again more of SMH moment than a real inconvenience.Transparency

Since then, I only received two calls from their telephone marketing department, but I didn't pick up as the number was marked as scams. Aside from the two calls, they didn't even try to contact me via emails or another number to help with my cancellation request. Read moreked me to contact their sales department via phone call or LiveChat, and just kept asking me to agree to their terms that include additional charges for meter reading and the extra daily supply fees beyond the date I requested to cancel on. They claimed that users have to give a 'verbal' notice to cancel contract, but their T&C's only state users need to give a notice, not necessarily a verbal notice. Based on these above-mentioned experiences, I'd say Lumo only cares about money, their customer service don't even help with their customers but shirk their due responsibilities. Save your time and money from them, there are way more better energy companies than LumoEnergy.

AWFUL - OVERCHARGES & BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE published 6 months ago They never read the electricity meter due to “property electrical works” and “no power connected”. No works & power was connected We were overcharged 5x our regular rate and they said nothing can bedone about it
Their only way of contact is through phone. I’ve called several times & every time they are rude, don’t listen to me, repeat themselves and dodge questions certainly do not recommend!!!!Transparency

Hey guys, after doing some online research with comparing energy companies in my area, I decided to make the switch the Lumo. But after reading these reviews I'm having second thoughts! Although the dates I'm reading on most of these reviews are not current. Is the customer service provided still the same? I'd rather pay a little more to access quality customer service as it seems you end up paying more in the long run with poor communicationon their end.
