DVOŘÁK’S NEW WORLD Praised by the Toronto Star as “one of those special talents that comes along once in a lifetime” and featured twice on CBC’s 30 Hot Canadian Classical Musicians under 30, 27-year old Canadian violinist Blake Pouliot has established himself as a consummate 21st-century artist.Led by maestro Daniel Raiskin, Pouliot performs Samuel Barber’s deeply lyrical Violin Concerto. The evening WSO NETHERLANDS TOUR The WSO will perform celebrated works on the tour by Beethoven, Symphony no. 5 and Berlioz, Messe Solennelle, along with a piece composed especially for the tour by well-known Canadian composer Matthew Whittall. Two soloists from the Netherlands, Renate Arends, Soprano and Henk Neven, Baritone will join Canadian soloist AndrewNaji on the stage
