WRD ROBERT W. GOLDSWORTHY DESALTER The Robert W. Goldsworthy Desalter located in the City of Torrance Was commissioned in 2001 and expanded in 2018. This facility treats 5 million gallons per day (mgd) of brackish groundwater extracted from the West Coast Groundwater Basin. The plant is owned by WRD and operated by the City of Torrance.
