A Family Tradition. When the hooligan are running, the rivers and harbour In Haines, Alaska host a fiesta of wildlife that congregate to feed on this little fish that First Nations prize for its high fat content. Sea gulls, eagles, sea lions and even whales feast on the bounty when it arrives. FIVE SUPERB WINES TRIED WITH BEEF WELLINGTON This wonderful wine from the south Rhone Valley of France is the ultimate blended wine, and can be composed of up to 13 different grapes. This version uses three, two different harvestings of Syrah grapes, with Grenache and then Mourvèdre grapes added. The wine had aKING OF BOWLS

Typically, a bear hunt is physically easier than the grunt experience of a sheep or goathunt.

The calypso orchid, sometimes called the fairy or venus slipper, was already blooming by the end of May and the rest will follow soon. I suspect that the Platanthera obtusata, known as the northern bog orchid, will follow soon. The height of bloom for orchids in the Yukon is mid-June.
