SUMMER READING CHALLENGE 2021 The first 1,600 youth who visit the library and sign up for our Summer Reading Challenge will receive a themed bag, an age-appropriate book, a reading log/bingo card, and craft supplies. Once we run out of our activity bags youth that visit the library and sign up for our Summer Reading Challenge will receive a free book and our Summer Reading SPANISH SPRINGS LIBRARY Tuesday: 10 am-2 pm. Wednesday: 1-5 pm. Thursday: 2-6 pm. 7100-A Pyramid Highway, Sparks, NV 89436 – 775.424.1800. FAX: 775.424.1840. Spanish Springs Library is located on the Pyramid Highway in Spanish Springs. Our building is based on a Native American hogan dwelling and is octagonal in shape with open spaces set off by a 64-foot ceiling DOWNTOWN RENO LIBRARY Built in 1966, the Downtown Reno Library is an architectural gem serving as the urban hub of the library system. Architect Hewitt Wells couldn't put the library in a park as he wished, so the library was made as park-like as possible, featuring hundreds of RENO GAZETTE-JOURNAL Reno Gazette-Journal. Washoe County Library maintains an archive of the Reno Gazette-Journal (1983-present) and its predecessors, the Reno Evening Gazette (1876-1983) and Nevada State Journal (1870-1983). Not all years are available digitally or remotely.
