18 miles between Haytor on Dartmoor and Teignmouth on the south coast; the Way traces the route by which granite was exported from Dartmoor via the unique Haytor Granite Tramway and the Stover Canal and is comprehensively waymarked except on the open moor. Passes through Newton Abbot as well as Teignmouth; also the edge of Bovey Tracey.MELDON RESERVOIR
Surrounded by steep sided banks and approximately 900 feet above sea level, Meldon Reservoir offers some of the most breath taking scenery that Dartmoor has to offer. Enjoy a leisurely walk and explore the network of off-road footpaths, bridleways and old tracks that cross the valley. For keen ramblers, navigate open moorland and experience a PUBS – VISITDARTMOOR Whether you’re a local, or a visitor from afar, you will relish the atmosphere, the glorious, locally sourced and home cooked food, and the many drinks that are produced locally! Many of the Dartmoor pubs love to entertain their customers during the summer months, with Morris Dancers, barbecues, fairs and shows.FISHING ON DARTMOOR

At least the trees provided some cover, and rain or sunshine this is a peaceful and relaxing walk.THE GRANITE WAY

This is a truly spectacular and mostly traffic free cycle route through rural Devon with fantastic views of Dartmoor and the surrounding countryside. The route is part of the National Cycle Network ‘Devon CoastLEATHER TOR
A fin of rock rising steeply from the surrounding landscape, Leather Tor is great for a scramble. Despite its modesty compared to Dartmoor’s highest points, Leather Tor has steep drops from the granite stacks and can be teamed with Sharpitor and Peek Hill for an excellent short circular walk.
