BCLI Class of 2021. Meet the fellows who have been selected to join the Boards and Commissions Leadership Institute (BCLI). The biographies of the 2021 BCLI cohort are organized geographically by spokes, which are sub-cohorts that meet in their local area. CIVIC LEADERSHIP TRAINING Civic Leadership Training. The Civic Leadership Training (CLT) increases the readiness of resident leaders from low-income communities and communities of color to participate and serve on boards and commissions. Participants learn about land use, housing, transportation, and regionalism within the context of their own livedexperiences.
BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS LEADERSHIP INSTITUTE Enter the Boards and Commissions Leadership Institute (BCLI). The BCLI trains leaders committed to advancing social justice, helps them get onto local and regional boards and commissions, and provides individualized support throughout their commission service. REGIONAL TENANT ORGANIZING NETWORK Regional Tenant Organizing Network. The Regional Tenant Organizing Network (RTO) was started in 2015 to advance tenant protections and resist growing regional resegregation in the Bay Area. It currently comprises 31 organizations across the Bay Area, and a majority of RTO members are directly engaged in grassroots community organizing.
