Turning Point is an Australian addiction research and education centre that provides treatment for people adversely affected by alcohol,drugs and gambling.
RESOURCES | TURNING POINT Resources. Turning Point has an extensive range of resources to support best practices for health professionals and educators, and facilitate recovery for clients. WEBINARS | TURNING POINT Connect & Learn is Turning Point’s webinar series which is funded by DHHS. Designed to support AOD clinicians throughout regional and metropolitan Victoria, the webinars are presented by experienced clinicians, AOD workers and researchers currently working in the AOD sector. This webinar explores the objectives and operations of online 1 EAST AND WELLINGTON HOUSE 1 East. 1 East is an 8-bed unit where patients can stay up to seven days. 1 East provides high quality medical and nursing support for patients withdrawing from alcohol and/or other drugs. 1 East also has the capacity to manage patients with a diagnosis of severe substance use disorder or dependence, whose treatment may be outside the scope of standard community residential withdrawal. CLINICAL PRACTICE GUIDELINES These changes necessitated a revision and update of the widely used withdrawal guidelines and reflect the latest scientific evidence and clinical practice in withdrawal management. You can self-refer by calling the intake number on 1800 778 278 or attending the TPETS walk-in clinic during business hours (Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 5.00pm) at Ground Floor, 43 Carrington Road, Box Hill (phone: 9843 1288).. NEUROPSYCHOLOGY SERVICE The Neuropsychology Service provides neuropsychological assessment, secondary consultation and clinician training. The service is primarily for people with significant alcohol or drug issues, and suspected cognitive impairment in Victoria. Delivery method: Your learning with be fully online and self-paced via the Learning Management System - Moodle. Learning activities include four interactive topics and a resources booklet. Time commitment: Designed as a half day (4 hour) module - to be completed at your own pace any time over the month of June 2021. Assessment: There is 1 assessment in the form of a 10 question quiz.
