NORDIC WALKING
Nordic walking simulates the movements of cross country skiing. Nordic poles are shorter than cross country ski poles. ROCK FLOUR - WHY ARE GLACIAL LAKES BLUE? • TRAVEL TALES OF The glacial blue hue is most visible in bright sunshine, when sunlight reflects back to our eyes, the glacial flour floating in the upper layer of the glacial lake water. The more of this glacial milk mixture there is, the more turquoise it appears to jaw dropped onlookers. A stream of rock flour flowing into the back of Lake Louise in October. HUMBOLDT WATER TOWER The sunlight twinkles off the freshly painted siding as if smiling at its own shimmering self. Should a first time visitor to Canada spot the Humboldt water tower, looking remarkably like an ocean side lighthouse, they may frantically double check their map. CANADIAN SQUIRRELS-DANGEROUS PESTS OR CUTE WILDLIFE With 285 species of squirrels worldwide perhaps I should be heartened by the fact that only 22 live in Canada.Furthermore that of the Canadian squirrels it was a bushy tree squirrel that decided our oven vent was paradise found rather than their cousins the hoary marmot weighing in at a whopping 6 kilograms (13 pounds)..
