It was built in 1860, destroyed in 1944, and rebuilt in 1947 using pink granite. As you can see above, it can appear a little eerie on a rainy night — especially while on a ghost tour with Lunenburg Walking Tours.It is a large three-story building, an example of late Victorian eclecticarchitecture.
A WALK ON THE PINK GRANITE COAST OF BRITTANY Mean Ruz Lighthouse is a key site of the Ploumanac’h area. It was built in 1860, destroyed in 1944, and rebuilt in 1947 using pink granite.
