While I love Brooklyn, I often need STOP TELLING WOMEN TO SMILE Stop Telling Women to Smile is a street art project that addresses gender based street harassment. The project consists of a series of portraits of women - women who I have sat talked with about their experiences with harassment. The portraits are designed into posters, including text that is inspired by the subject's experiences. STREET / PUBLIC WORK Street / Public Work. "Sakia, Sakia, Sakia, Sakia" is a mural of Sakia Gunn, a teenage girl who was killed by a man after her and her friends refused him on the street. She was 15, black, a girl, and gay. This mural pays tribute to her. A part of Gateways to Newark {Portraits}, the longest mural on the east coast. ALL THE TIME. EVERY DAY. "All The Time. Every Day." was a collaboration between myself and Fusion Digital to take Stop Telling Women to Smile to Mexico City. It was my first time to Mexico, and my first time recreating STWTSoutside of the US.

In Mourning is a multimedia project about grief and mourning from the perspective of Black people. Shirt and Interviews I created a shirt in 2018 that read "In Mourning", inspired by photographs from 1968 of students at Ohio University on a National Day of Mourning after MLK was assassinated. Now, I'm interviewing individual Black people about their experiences with grief.NOT GOING ANYWHERE

The Roots Mural. The Roots Mural: Designed and produced by myself, Tatyana Fazlalizadeh, with Amber Art & Design. Commissioned by The Philadelphia Mural Arts Program, The Roots mural is a large scale mural that honors the legendary hip-hop band, The Roots. Completed in Summer 2013, this project was a huge undertaking for me. THE DAY IS PAST AND GONE Where are we safe?, church fan, 2021 Vernon AME Church Tulsa, OK June 1-3, 2021 7-10PM As part of the Greenwood Art Project, I am creating a public art installation inside of the historic Vernon AME Church in the Greenwood district of Tulsa, OK. In 1921, a mob of white people descended upon the Black neighborhood of Greenwood and massacred thecommunity.

A CONSTANT STATE OF RAGE A Constant State of Rage. My first emotion when another black person is killed at the hands of police is anger. You can't just kill a person because you believe that black people are inherently dangerous, criminal, violent. It can't be so easy for you to pull your gun on a child.
