SEE OUR EXHIBITIONS
The NVM is a treasure trove of both permanent and regularly changing exhibits. There’s always something new to discover! Some of our smaller exhibits are organised into something we call ‘Bundles’, groups of games that we’ve placed together to explore an idea. Our exhibitions are carefully socially-distanced and staff fully trained to deliver a COVID-secure day-out that’s excitingLEARN AT HOME
Getting Started with Scratch! Get stuck in to creating your own game and start exploring Scratch, a free game design software that’s the perfect entry point for coding! Follow along with our video tutorial and learn how to recreate the classic videogame: Pong! Recommended for ages 7+. Subject Links: Game Design, Computing. ABOUT | NATIONAL VIDEOGAME MUSEUM The world’s first cultural centre dedicated to videogames opened its doors in Nottingham in 2015. Within 3 years of opening, we had welcomed 100,000 visitors, won two TripAdvisor Awards, staged four original exhibitions and kicked off a games music festival. We created Pixelheads, an education programme for young people to talk about what LEARNING | NATIONAL VIDEOGAME MUSEUM Learning. Anyone and everyone can make videogames. The NVM’s mission is to use playful learning to inspire and engage new generations with the science, technology, engineering, arts and maths (STEAM) skills we all need to thrive in the modern world.
