PARENTING INTERVENTIONS: FACILITATING POSITIVE AND This is an integral part of Frontline’s teaching on parenting interventions. Families are the experts in their own lives and their perspectives must be considered and valued. Giving caregivers the time, space and tools to reflect provides the best opportunity to facilitate positive and sustainable relationship changes. SYSTEMIC PRACTICE MODEL: IN THEORY The underlying principle behind systemic practice is the ability for social workers to build open, honest and strong relationships with families, and to be able to develop a level of trust which will help them to create real and sustainable change. The person isn’t the problem, the problem is the problem – helping families to look at things this way and change their perception of THE IMPORTANCE OF BUILDING RELATIONSHIPS Relationships are so crucial as a social worker, because you’re becoming involved with families and young people at a really vulnerable time for them. You want to support people to have the best outcomes during this tough time in their lives. BECOME A SOCIAL WORKER ON THE FRONTLINE PROGRAMME EARN AS YOU LEARN.
