Baby registry before the internet was a huge nightmare. As our family continued to grow, more and more retailers started offering baby registries online and it became a little easier. Nikki and I have learned a lot over the course of having six kids. Below are just a few of our tips for creating the perfect baby registry. RETURN OF THE REAL LIFE ELF ON THE SHELF I’m going to document each day of his time with us in this blog post, so keep checking back to see the latest update on how the elf and I are getting along. Day 1: He’s back! I’ve heard that other elves appear quietly in the night – well not ours. He called ahead to make sure we had the confetti and lights ready as he walked in thedoor.
REAL LIFE LEPRECHAUN 0:00. 0:00 / 2:25. Live. •. The kids felt bad that we waited so long to tell the Elf about Valentines so they decided to give him a head start for St. Patricks. day. After the kids quick explanation about St.Patricks day and Leprechauns, his eyes widened and that mischievous smile returned. He quickly started scouring the internet for photos ROCK THE ELF ARCHIVES Guess who showed up at our house this week? Yep, Rock the elf is back. Check out some of these images from last year. I ended up sleeping with one eye open the entire month of December (read last years post here).I thought he might skip our house this year until Wil showed me an Etch A Sketch message from him two days before December. It was nice to have some notice this year as opposed OUR REAL LIFE ELF ON THE SHELF Our elf is such a womanizer. Day 7: Tonight was the first night the elf ate dinner with us. He never broke eye contact with me the entire dinner. I asked him repeatedly to get off the table but he just threw noodles at me. Day 8: Heard some giggling sounds last night coming from the front room. Flipped on the lights and caught the elf redhanded.
ROCK THE OLYMPICS
Day 1: I told him that only females performed on the balance beam. He told me, “your mom is a balance beam”. That doesn’t even make sense. Day 2: BAM! Lifting quadruple his weight tonight. We call him Rock for a reason. Day 3: Wil has been having Rockwell use a shoe box for his plyometric training. An EEG is one of the main diagnostic tests for epilepsy. The diagnosis of infantile spasms is made with a typical EEG. The EEG shows a very high-voltage, disorganized pattern called “hypsarrhythmia”. Wil’s EEG took about 20 minutes while he slept in Nikki’s arms. The neurologist met with us shortly after the test and confirmed thatWil

OUR SUMMER FAMILY TRADITIONS June is my favorite summer month because we have a lot of family traditions that take place in it. I wanted to share some of our family summer traditions on our blog but I’m going to split them between a few different blog posts so that they aren’t so long.THAT DAD BLOG
Things are finally back to normal after returning from our big family trip to New York. We learned a lot about traveling in the city with a big family, (post about this soon), but today I wanted to share some of the things I learned from my Melissa and Doug meeting about theimportance of play.
THAT DAD BLOG
At the start of the Summer, we bought an older camper trailer thinking that it would motivate us to do more camping. By the end of Summer we realized that we had done more campouts than any previous year, however, 80% of it was in our backyard and not in the trailer. GETTING THE ELF BACK TO SANTA Christmas morning I went into the front room to turn on the tree lights and there he was, covering his eyes as if I couldn’t see him. It wasn’t until I poked him twice before I realized I wasn’t dreaming. He tried to convince me that elves always stay on Christmas morning to watch kids open presents. After calling our neighbors Ilearned

REAL LIFE ELF ON THE SHELF IS BACKby Alan 2

_NOTE: BE SURE TO KEEP CHECKING BACK TO THIS BLOG POST TO SEE PHOTO AND VIDEO UPDATES FOR THE ENTIRE MONTH OF DECEMBER!_ On the weekend before Thanksgiving, my family and I were pulling up into our driveway when we noticed some suspicious activity going on in our house. As we approached the front door we could hear giggling and tiny feet running from one room to another. I made Nikki and the kids wait outside as I slipped in the front door to investigate. As I peered into the living room I couldn’t believe my eyes – Rock theElf was back!
He had completely decorated our house with Christmas decorations and was just finishing up the tree decorations. My eyes rolled back into my head as I recalled the mischief he had caused our family for the past two Holidays. As the kids entered the house they immediately shouted for joy as they noticed that Rock was back. Since Rock came so early this year I decided to give Santa a call and find out why he sent him so early. After talking with Santa I learned that Rock had apparently left the North Pole early even though Santa told him he had to wait. Santa was not very happy about this mischievous elf breaking the rules so he is sending Elmer the Elf to re-certify Rock and hopefully keep him in line. Rock the Elf was not very happy about another elf coming to re-train and watch over him. Once Elmer the Elf arrived Rock immediately tried to get all of us to touch him so he would lose his powers and have to fly back to the North Pole. But we finally made an agreement that we would keep plenty of marshmallows in the pantry as long as he didn’t try to make us touch Elmer. Elmer the Elf is here but Rock the Elf is not playing nice. Once Rock discovered that Elmer would lose his powers if humans touched him, things got a little crazy. Poor Elmer needs to start giving Rock the Elf a little taste of his own medicine. Tonight the Rock the Elf toilet papered our tree and tried to mummify Elmer the Elf. I didn’t get mad when the Elf gift wrapped my toilet and I couldn’t get it open in the middle of the night. But when he deliberately ate all of my favorite cereal, thatwas too far.
Elmer the Elf has finally learned that it’s not safe to hold still on the shelf all day with Rock the Elf around. Filed Under: Parenting* Page 1
