From 27 March 2021, landlords are prevented from serving a termination notice or making an NSW Civil and Administrative Tribunal (NCAT) application against a tenant for rent arrears if an ‘impacted tenant’ has agreed to a ‘repayment plan’ with their landlord/agent and has complied with the terms of the plan. SOUTH WEST SYDNEY TENANTS' ADVICE & ADVOCACY SERVICE COVID-19 service update: Tenant Advocates are working remotely to keep our advice service operating. South West Sydney Tenants Advice and Advocacy Service (SWSTAAS) provides advice to tenants, duty advocacy in the Tribunal, and community education to frontline workers as wellas tenants.
WESTERN SYDNEY TENANTS' SERVICE The Western Sydney Tenants' Service (WESTS) provides free tenancy advice, referrals, advocacy and in some cases representation for residential tenants at the Tribunal. NORTHERN RIVERS TENANTS' ADVICE & ADVOCACY SERVICE Recently, the Northern Rivers Tenants' Advice and Advocacy Service was able to assist a tenant to maintain her independent living.
