DRONE FLYING TIPS AND BEST PRACTICES Don’t fly over people. Don’t fly near airports. Do’s: Always pre-flight check your aircraft. Fly with someone that is a spotter. Properly discharge your batteries if stored for a long time. One more, always give manned aircraft the right of way. An article published in the December 2007 issue of StudentFilmmakers magazine headlined, “Choosing Your Film Crew Wisely: Key Departments and Roles,” omits the role that camera operators play in the collaborative process. Steven Poster, ASC, believes that this is a serious omission, andwants to set
PRODUCTION ASSISTANT ESSENTIALS: WHAT DO YOU BRING TO THE Another thing to do on set is pay attention to the flow of things. Try anticipating a need. If you see a light being set, have a stinger (extension cord) handy or your hand on a c-stand if they need it. If the director calls for a camera placement where some items are in the way, be ready to move those items. 3D PROSTHETIC ‘BONDO’ TRANSFERS Wet the back of the paper with a moist paper towel and hold it in place for about 30 seconds. Peel off the transfer paper, and smooth the transfer with a bit of water, and let it dry. If there are any visible edges, they can be blended off with a small brush and 99% isopropyl alcohol. Seal it with Pros-Aide (let it dry first) and thenpowder

Understanding the basic components of color, warm colors and cool colors, as well as how the audience responds to these colors is essential.
