Join us on Sunday 27 June as we reenact the story of Alban, Britain's First Saint, in a magnificent procession. This year, we will be reverting back to the original route, beginning at St Michael's Church, through Verulamium Park as we process towards St Albans Cathedral. THE ALBAN PILGRIMAGE 2021 The Alban Pilgrimage 2021. Join us on Sunday 27 June for our annual Alban Pilgrimage celebrations. Giant carnival puppets reenact the story of Alban, Britain's first saint, the man after whom St Albans is named. Roman chariots, centurions, lions and roses all take their place alongside Alban and Amphibalus in a dramatic procession. THE CATHEDRAL'S 2020 ANNUAL REVIEW IS AVAILABLE NOW. 2020 was a very different year, but the Cathedral continued as a beacon of worship, history and community by reaching out both in-person and online. The Cathedral Library is a modern theological lending library with texts on a wide range of subjects. It also has subscriptions to a selection of newspapers, magazines and journals. CAFÉ | ST ALBANS CATHEDRAL The Abbots Kitchen is open daily, 10am - 4pm. Welcome to the Abbot's Kitchen Coffee Shop at St Albans Cathedral. The Abbot’s Kitchen cafe, a stone’s throw away from the nearby park, is the perfect place to enjoy tea after you visit the Cathedral or to enjoy lunch and refreshments throughout the day. Celebrating one of the greatest stories in the Christian faith in a truly spectacular way. The Alban Pilgrimage 2021. Join us on Sunday 27 June as we reenact the story of Alban, Britain's First Saint, in a magnificent procession. This year, we will be reverting back to the original route, beginning at St Michael's Church, through Verulamium Park as we process towards St Albans Cathedral. THE DEAN AND CHAPTER The Chapter is the Administrative body of the Cathedral and has ultimate responsibility for its affairs.CATHEDRAL COMMUNITY

MUSIC AT ST ALBANS CATHEDRAL Music has been integral to the liturgy and central to the life of the Cathedral for centuries. This strong musical tradition is continued today with a Cathedral Choir of boys and male Lay Clerks, St Albans Cathedral Girls Choir, Abbey Singers and parish and young people's choirs and an orchestra.The Master of the Music oversees these choirs with the help of the Assistant Master of the Music THE CATHEDRAL'S 2020 ANNUAL REVIEW IS AVAILABLE NOW. 2020 was a very different year, but the Cathedral continued as a beacon of worship, history and community by reaching out both in-person and online.
