SPRING 2021 HOME IDEAS I’ve noticed myself the last few years wanting more authentic and designers and other home enthusiasts doing the same on their feed. So how can I help you from just grabbing a few faux succulents at the craft store to really decorating your home with authentic spring accents. Not to mention 2021 is all about color so how can you addthat bit
EUROPEAN FARMHOUSE DECORATING European Farmhouse Decorating. February 20, 2020. Sharing inspiration for European farmhouse décor in our nearly renovated home. Our European farmhouse style is rustic, modern, and old world. You’ve heard me say it before, that my style is a little Farmhouse, a little French, a little Italian, a little modern, and hints of old world andrustic.
FRENCH FARMHOUSE
The shiplap walls are the perfect Farmhouse touch. Though some are straying away from Shiplap, if you select the right places to add it (such as this kitchen) it will feel less trendy and more appropriate. The light grays mixed with the weathered wood, light flooring, and patina fixtures are a true combination of the French Farmhouse look. POTTING SHED AND DUCK COOP PLANS I’ll share more of that journey with all you when we get there, but lets do a little dreaming and planning for what we are doing with our our shed to make the perfect potting shed and duck coop. The decision to attach the coop to our shed only made sense. Its tucked to the side of our yard and has a good amount of sun but not too much. TIMELESS KITCHEN LIGHT FIXTURES One of my favorite looks is something over-sized and dramatic. All the fixtures we have in our home have made a statement but none like the ones we chose for as our kitchen light fixtures. This is a collaborative post with Hudson Valley Lighting all opinions are my own. So, I have to say this was a really, really hard decision. INTRODUCING WEEPING WILLOW HOME Welcome to #Weeping Willow Home. Well, I’ve had so many of you writing me about seeing our new house, and I appreciate your patience. I wanted this to be special and really give you a good look at what it looks like without sharing just some UGLY photos. So, I reached out to Corey that works at my Church ( New Beginnings in Brick, NJ) He BOOK PAGE MAGNOLIA WREATH Tea. Hot Glue Gun. To start, I made a leaf stencil on card stock by simply drawing a leaf (in the size I imagined a Magnolia would be), cut it out, and then used it to trace leaves onto the ripped out pages from the book. I then boiled a pot of water and threw in about 4-5 tea bags and stirred until the water was nice and dark. PARTICIPATING ON THE SHOW FLEA MARKET FLIP A few weeks later we got our dates and of course picked out our outfits and we were ready for Day 1. Day 1. So, day 1 was my least favorite as it was a 12 hour filming day and we filmed end of April and it was super cold that day and rainy. I mean in the episode you don’t even see how much rain we got but the entire Flea Market was amuddy mess.
HONEST OPINION ON CARRARA MARBLE COUNTERTOPS But there are ways to make it work. #1. Seal your countertops with what your counter supplier suggests ( I sealed mine twice already and plan to seal them once more this year- so 3x’s a year is good). BLOG - SEEKING LAVENDER LANE DIY Duck Run. We have been working so hard the last 6-7 weeks on our DIY Duck run.or maybe it was 8 weeks. TOP 10 EXTERIOR FINISHES IN 2020 Top 10 Exterior details in 2020. #1 Blue with Stone: Dark blue is a strong color that still feels timeless. Paired with some stone, gives it a rustic or coastal feel. #2 Pops of Black: This was actually something I wanted to do to our house, but I knew our contractor would probably bite my head off if I did one more “designer-ish” detail. AN OUTDOOR TEA PARTY Remember this summer to “make life an experience”. Here’s our video: and some photos of how to set a pretty garden tea party for two. I just adore all the beautiful Lenox products to truly capture a traditional garden style tea party here. HOW TO TEA STAIN A LAMPSHADE Steps: How to Tea Stain a Lampshade. 1. Heat water (2 mins) 2. Place 3 tea bags into water and wait about 5 minutes. 3. Begin to apply Tea in small strokes onto lampshade. (Don’t add too much at a time or it will soak the lampshade too much) 4.SELF CARE IN MARCH
