Sask Apprenticeship

Apprenticeship training is one of the most affordable post-secondary pathways available. Apprentices spend 85% of the time on the job, earning a wage while learning their trade and 15% of the time in the learning in a classroom setting. Like any post-secondary training, there are costs associated with becoming an apprentice, such as a registration fee, tuition, and tools and books. For high school students who complete the SYA program, the registration fee and the first year of technical training tuition arewaived.
However, there are also supports available, which means little or no debt after completing certification! In Saskatchewan, three quarters of new journeypersons achieve certification without any debt related to post-secondary education. If you want to know more about a career in the skilled trades, send us a direct message and we'll be glad to answer any questions you have! ... See MoreSee LessView
