PAN PIPES - SIGMA ALPHA IOTA INTERNATIONAL MUSIC FRATERNITY PAN PIPES, the fraternity journal, was first issued in 1909 and is now published four times a year in print -- fall, winter, spring and summer -- with a digital exclusive supplement of the Annual Contemporary American Music Composers Update.It goes to all collegiate chapter members, alumnae who are current members of the National Alumnae Association, patronesses, school libraries, and music SUMMER MUSIC FESTIVALS Festival Mozaic - San Luis Obispo, CA. Frenchwoods Music Camp - Hancock, NY. Fresh Inc Festival - Chicago. Gilmore International Keyboard Festival – Kalamazoo & throughout West Michigan. Grand Teton Music Festival - Jackson Hole, WY. Since this project was begun in 1964, People-to-People projects have been carried out in more than 60 countries. A few examples: People-to-People continues to offer materials assistance to our music colleagues in Haiti. SPECIAL NEEDS SERVICES Services for Musicians with Special Needs resulted from the merging and expansion of two former SAI Philanthropies projects which served blind and low-vision musicians: the Braille and Tape Services Project, and the Bold Notes Project. Members of SAI are active in all areas of music and campus life, working closely with faculty, administration, and campus groups. Alumnae members are teachers, performers, professionals, and patrons of local and national arts organizations. In addition to personal encouragement and support, members may receive scholarships, grants, and awards in many areas of music-related study. Sigma Alpha Iota has long been recognized as a leader in the field of music.
