ROAST SUMMIT. Over 2,000 attendees joined us on Thursday, February 25, 2021 for Roast magazine's second annual Roast Summit, our first virtual event. While we couldn't be together in person this year, we had a fantastic day of all things roasting, and the event was free to all. The nearly 500-page tome covers the history of coffee roasting, coffee production, the science of coffee and roasting, roasting techniques, and the basics of running a coffeeroasting business.

Cup For Education is a non-profit organization designed to help poor rural coffee communities of Central and Latin America build schools within their communities and assist in providing them with teachers and the basic tools needed to educate the future generations of coffee farmers. Cup for Education sponsors a teacher for the Solidarity School in the community of Los Alpes in JinotegaROAST MAGAZINE

The Concept The focus of this research was to explore whether coffee professionals would be able to taste the difference (via triangulation) between the same coffee roasted on three different roasting systems/machines, assuming that the roast, on all roasting systems, ended with the same whole bean and ground color, while matching the time at yellowing, time of first crack and enddevelopment

In 2015, for example, coffee was responsible for 1.7 million U.S. jobs, represented 1.6 percent of the gross domestic product (GDP), and had an annual economic output value of $225 billion, according to a report published by the NCA that year.
