1790 ULSTER COUNTY, NY CENSUS Sorted By Head of Household. All names are spelled as in the 1790 census, no corrections were made if known wrong. The 1790 Census for Ulster County was taken by Samuel Augustus Barker. HISTORY OF CROCKETT, CALIFORNIACITY OF CROCKETT Crockett is located on a part of what was known as the Edwards ranch. As originally planned, the town site consisted of eighteen blocks, divided into lots fifty by one hundred feet, the streets running east and west. The following item, taken from the Sacramento Record-Union of November 24, 1881, is the earliest mention of the town: "A town to HISTORY OF LENOX, NYNEW LENOX FACEBOOK History of Lenox, NY. The Old Town of Lenox and Its Subdivisions. The old town of Lenox was formed from Sullivan March 3, 1809, and at the time of its formation contained 54,500 acres of land. About 5,000 acres were taken off and added to Stockbridge in 1836. In 1896 the old Lenox was divided into three towns, named Lenox, Lincoln and Oneida. HISTORY OF YORK TOWNSHIP, DEARBORN COUNTY, INDIANA The tone and character of the entire township was in its early history dominated by these thrifty, high class citizens. Guilford, at the forks of Tanners creek, and Yorkville. three miles out the ridge, between the two creeks, by their names indicate their English origin. HISTORY OF CANTON, NY THE TOWN OF CANTON -- ORGANIZED IN 1805.
