WHY THERE’S NO SINGLE “RIGHT” WAY TO DO DISCOVERY: PART 3 The idea of a two-way-door decision came from a Jeff Bezos Amazon shareholder letter. He used the terms “level-one” and “level-two decisions,” which are a little less clear. The concept is the same—one-way doors and two-way doors—but the idea is that if it’s a one-way-door decision, you walk through the door. HOW TO FRAME YOUR PRODUCT VISION But if you have the freedom to explore multiple solutions this won’t matter. Your vision statement gives you the freedom to keep trying rather than hitting a dead end. Don’t let your product vision limit you. Frame it in the context of an actual problem.
