Mums for Mums is based in Mekelle, Tigray Province, and has been working since 2001 to protect children by tackling the root causes of poverty in the region. Through its training centre, Mums for Mums gives young women the skills they need to earn a living, helping to break the cycle of poverty for both themselves and their families. THE BENEFITS OF SOCIAL ENTREPRENEURSHIP TRAINING FOR Groups like the Social Impact Movement can be very instructive in terms of considering the benefits of social entrepreneurship to nonprofits. In that example, impact and identity in a sense become one and the same. Here are four other ways that social entrepreneurial principles and practices can be useful to nonprofits.
