STARBUCKS JOB APPLICATION Starbucks is an American Food & Beverage multi-national company operating a chain of coffeehouses. The Starbucks coffeehouses serve hot and cold beverages such as whole-bean coffee, caffe latte, Frappuccino, espresso, full and loose leaf teas, and other wide range of coffee related beverages. Starbucks also serve ready to eat pre-packaged food items, such as sandwiches,pastries and cakes.
JOB POSITIONS AT STARBUCKS Starbucks employs 4 groups of employees; Retail, Retail Leadership, Corporate , and Manufacturing and Distribution. At each of their coffeehouses depending on its size, Starbucks employs retail staffs and retail leadership staffs, namely baristas, shift supervisors, shift managers, assistant store manager and store manager. Starbucks also employs a district manager to oversee a group of outlets in each area of a city. These positions are usually in demand, as they are customer-facing and are needed to run theircoffeehouses.
At the back-end of the company, the corporate group of employees consists of positions such as information technology (IT) staffs, accounting and audit staffs, data scientists, Research & Development staffs and general management staffs to name a few. The last group of employees, manufacturing and distribution group, are also back-end staffs, and the positions consists of pastry cooks, bakers, technicians, logistics staffs and machine operators to name afew.
STARBUCKS JOB INTERVIEW PROCESS The hiring process at Starbucks usually takes no more than a week to complete. Job applicants usually apply for job positions at open house hiring events or through the online job portals, and they can submit their applications physically to Starbucks locations or via email. Starbucks hiring managers will review all the candidates applications and select the most eligible applicants for an in person interview. Applicants may go thru multiple in person interviews and may be subjected to background checks, especially for senior corporatepositions.
For customer facing positions, such as barista and store manager positions, the applicants are expected to excel in teamwork and customer service. This is because Starbucks want their employees to have a good working relationship with regular customers, able to bond with their colleagues, and a passion for customer service.
